Oh. My. God. I am absolutely speechless right now. I’ve just consumed the most amazing dessert of my life. This vegan gelato is NO JOKE. I don’t think I could ever buy any other ice cream and be satisfied after eating this stuff! I tried each of the three flavors I bought, and they are all equally incredible. The coffee and chocolate flavors are SO strong and prominent, and the peanut butter chocolate swirl is so decadent and delicious. The verdict: these were absolutely, definitely, positively worth $30! Yay! If you find these in your area, go ad buy them immediately, you wont be disappointed!
Back to dinner! Tonight I just threw together something really simple. I toasted some slivered almonds in the microwave, steamed some sugar snap peas, cooked some soba noodles, and tossed it all together with a homemade dressing. I used toasted sesame oil, lime juice, hoisin sauce, ginger tamari, garlic, minced ginger, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, and sea salt. I put everything together in a skillet, plated it, and dinner was served! It was delicious, and the dressing had a nice kick from the cayenne and crushed pepper. I love love LOVE spicy food.
Like I said before, I had my drool-worthy vegan gelato for dessert. I had a serving of the peanut butter chocolate swirl, and had to go ahead and try the other two, so I had 1/2 serving each of the coffee and chocolate. I was in heaven. Pure gelato heaven. If you ever find these in your local whole foods, buy them.. they will change your life. Even though they’ll make a slight dent in your wallet, they are totally worth it, trust me!
First bowl: Peanut butter chocolate swirl.. YUMMM! And yes, the chocolate swirl is REAL 73% dark chocolate. No cheapy chocolate syrup swirl here!

Just found your blog and I love it! I think we’re food twins: chocolate, peanut butter, fruit, granola, broccoli and noodle-y stir fries are all my favorites, yum! Your pictures look awesome too, in part because I want to eat everything of course, but also because your camera-work is impressive :)

Wow…I don’t know if I’d like the PB Choc Swirl or the Coffee more. I’m normally big fans of both! And your dinner looks amazing- thanks for posting the sauce recipe! I’m always looking for easy ways to dress up stir fries. Where can I find ginger tamari sauce?

em - you’d love them both, they’re so so fabulous. regarding the ginger tamari, i got it in the asian section of my local whole foods. very easy to find!
rh1 - i’ve tried the soy delicious ice creams, and while i like them a lot, these gelatos are far superior! the flavors really come through with a punch, while i feel the soy delicious flavors are more subtle. but i do enjoy them as well.
