Tag!

May 26, 2008

I’ve been tagged by two different blogs (not sure which ones, I forgot.. oops!) Here are the rules :

1. Link to your tagger and post these rules.
2. Share 5 facts about yourself.
3. Tag 5 people at the end of your post and list their names, linking to them.
4. Let them know they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment at their blogs.

5 facts about me :

1. Lately, I have to always be on-the-go, and moving around. I can’t stand being in my house for too long, because I get bored so easily!

2. I have an extreme hatred towards mushrooms and green beans. They’re probably the only two vegetables that I don’t like.

3. I absolutely hate the typical pop and rap music that is constantly rotating on the radio; I love indie artists and bands most

4. I would love to be able to travel all around the world at some point; especially to Paris. I would also love to be able to get married in Paris.

5. One of my favorite hobbies is singing! At one point, I had wanted to audition for American Idol, but decided against it because I just can’t stand how contrived and fake the show has become (IMO).

Sorry that I’m not too interesting!.. I can never think of these kind of things. Now I guess it’s my turn to tag.. I tag Kath from Kath Eats, Jennifer from Veg*n Cooking, Lindsay from Happy Herbivore, ruby red vegan, and Linds from For The Love Of Oats.

Bittersweet Ending

May 22, 2008

It’s all over. It seriously hasn’t sunken in at all; I still feel as though I have school tomorrow. The day was filled with way too many tears and sadness.. it’s just so hard to believe. As much as I dreaded going to school every day, when it comes down to the end, you realize how much you’ll miss it, and think about all of the good times. So, so sad! Here are a couple of pictures from the day.

I wasn’t really in the mood to eat much today, so my lunch was pretty light. I just had an ezekiel english muffin spread with tofutti cream cheese and raspberry preserves along with two really small peaches and some sliced strawberries.

For an afternoon snack, I just had a mini clif bar and an apple, but I forgot to take a picture.

I was out with my friends this evening, so I never got to have a real dinner. I did though finally try whole foods’ Vegan Chocolate Chip Scone, and I can now say that I am in LOVE with scones. Totally amazing.

I’m absolutely drained, so I think I’m going to try to get to bed early. I’ll see you all in the morning.. it’s the weekend every day for me now.. wow.

New York, New Yorkkk!

March 29, 2008

I had a very full schedule today indeed! This morning after breakfast, I got ready, and headed to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a school assignment. I ended up literally staying there for an hour, and I’d say a good 1/2 hour was spent trying to get out of that maze! As you can see, I’m most definitely not a museum person. It took a lot more time getting in and out of the city than the actual time I spent there. And I even had to waste $48 on admission and parking!! Oh well! Something did make my trip worth it though; I went to the Whole Foods in Columbus circle within the Time Warner Center, and it was the best Whole foods I’ve been to! Although it was jam-packed with people, they had so many goodies I’ve never seen before! I came home with 3 of these AMAZING looking Vegan Gelatos, Blackwell’s Organic brand. I got the Chocolate, Coffee, and Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl flavors. But the clincher is, they were $10 EACH! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I looked at the receipt! These better be damnnnn good! I also bought a bunch of other goodies. Note to self: never go within 50 miles of a Whole Foods when trying to save money. I seriously can’t ever leave that place without buying something. I’m such a foodie!

$30 on gelato!! I must be out of my mind… Haha!

my other goodies! i also got three 365 honey roasted granola bars.. they are my FAVORITE, and I can never find them at any of the whole foods nearer to me.

When I got home, I had a REALLY late lunch (3:15!!). I was pretty hungry, so I made a quick and fabulous grilled pb/raspberry preserves/banana sandwich on Ezekiel 7 grain bread. I am in love with this bread! It was absolutely made for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Mmmm,mm! I had my sandwich with a juicy ripe pear. Delish.
